Pet Assure Plans and Pricing

Pet Assure’s home page explains its discount and wellness plans and has tabs that allow you to navigate to each plan to learn more. On the main page, and the “Veterinary Discount Plan” and “Mint Wellness Plan” pages, the company provides several “Get a quote” buttons so pet owners can find out how much a Pet Assure wellness plan costs.

Once you click on the “Get a quote” button, the company will ask for your pet’s name and species. From there, you can choose a Basic, Essential or Premium wellness plan. Once you enter this information and hit “Next,” you’ll provide your personal information, including your name, phone number, email, address and credit card number, for payment. After you hit “Submit,” your pet is enrolled for wellness coverage.

If you only want to enroll in Pet Assure’s veterinary discount plan, your employer must offer the service as a benefit. More than 6,000 companies in the U.S. offer Pet Assure as an employee benefit, and the website provides a portal you can use to see if your company is included. If not, the site provides a link you can use to invite your employer to offer Pet Assure as a voluntary benefit.

Does Pet Assure Have Waiting Periods?

Traditional pet insurance providers have waiting periods, which is the time from enrollment until the pet’s coverage starts. This is to prevent pet owners from submitting a claim on a condition their pet had before the policy was purchased.

Pet Assure does not have waiting periods for its veterinary discount plan or its wellness plans. Once your pet is enrolled, you are immediately eligible for discounts at participating veterinary clinics and you can receive reimbursement for covered wellness services. Pet Assure also doesn’t have any age restrictions for enrolling pets, offering a good option for senior pets not typically eligible for traditional pet insurance.
